An elegant town with a reputation for its likeness to England, Christchurch is one of the most popular tourist destinations in New Zealand, attracting visitors from all over the world with a mixture of the quirkiness of the town itself, and the many fascinating allures of the Canterbury Plains that surround it.
Christchurch offers an interesting melange of diversions for visitors to enjoy, from the chance to relax with a picnic on the banks of the River Avon, to the many traditional English Pubs where you can enjoy a pint and a pie while chatting to the locals.
